The Sazerac stood in front of her. Enticing her to drink it. It’s liquid gently spinning about from what little inertia was left after it had been made.

As she sat there at the bar. Dressed casually compared to those around her. She found herself pondering on the time to come. Should she, like so many others, make a new year's resolution for the coming year? But didn’t she already have such a standing promise? To protect Hoenn. That was enough of a New Years Resolution, no?

Perhaps not.

Her gaze began to move about. Perhaps one of the many strangers here at Howling at the Moon. Would want to debate this topic with her?

It felt like she’d been sitting there forever.

But at last a voice familiar to her reached her ears.

“Oh hey Ollie!” She sounded enthusiastic. It was nice to see a familiar face.

“And fancy meeting you as well.” Goofy smile was returned with a more controlled smile of her own.

“Generic question inbound, but what brings you here?”

She figured she knew the answer, and yet she could not help to ask.

“As for resolutions? Hmmm.” She looked thoughtful. “Maybe to do better as a member of the Council?” She said, she hoped that unlike the usual resolutions at New Year, this one would last past January.

“Sure, go ahead and steal it.” She chuckled.

But then she grew thoughtful. What did she need to improve on?

“Decisiveness. I suppose.” Elinor said. “Don’t get me wrong. I do my work and I would like to think that I do it well. But honestly, it feels more like I am just floating along with the stream, and not really making any waves of my own, if that makes sense.”

She looked to her drink and within moments she took a big sip of it.
